Kneissl: German leadership acts contrary to history by supplying weapons to Ukraine
The German leadership acts contrary to history by agreeing to the use of German military equipment by the Armed Forces of Ukraine – as stated by Austria’s ex-FM Karin Kneissl in the Unipolar-Multipolar podcast hosted by German journalist Flavio von Witzleben, TASS reports
Ms. Kneissl stressed that the memory of the Great Patriotic War is still of great importance to Russians, and in this regard, the agreement of the German leadership to supply tanks and other weapons to Ukraine in 2022 attracted Russians’ special attention. “The part of history dealing with the Great Patriotic War plays a huge role in Russia. Every village there has a memorial to fallen soldiers. Therefore, it is unclear why the German government is so anti-historical and senseless in its actions,” she said.
A member of the Bundestag, Chairman of the Left Party group in the German Parliament, Soren Pellmann, said earlier that he was horrified by the use of German tanks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in attacks on the Kursk Region. In his opinion, the German government is dragging Germany deeper into the ‘swamp of conflict’ by supplying weapons to Kiev.
As reported, German Marder infantry fighting vehicles are used in AFU attacks on the Kursk Region of Russia. A Wisent sapper tank was also spotted.
