Klimov: if NATO tries to fight with Russia outside of Ukraine, it will see the differences between special military operation and war
Andrei Klimov, the Chairman of the Federation Council’s Interim Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty and Prevention of Interference in the Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, warned NATO about the consequences of an attempt to fight against Russia, TASS reports
“If NATO tries to start hostilities with the Russian Federation outside the Ukrainian theatre of operations (which was whispered in Vilnius in several versions at once), then its members will immediately learn first hand how a real war with the Russian Federation differs from the special military operation,” the politician wrote.
Klimov suggested that NATO is doing worse than it was before 2022.
“The Ukrainian adventure did not help either to contain Russia or to facilitate the well-being of Ukraine, let alone the EU. However, the United States and its satellites remain dangerous adversaries, i.e., we will undoubtedly respond to their aggressive actions, including by military-technical methods,” Andrei Klimov added.
According to the senator, as expected, no decisions were made on the entry of the remnants of the territory of the former Ukrainian SSR into NATO.
“This anti-Russian international gang, of course, is a suicide club, but still from among living states, not political corpses,” commented the Chairman of the Federation Council’s Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation on the results of the summit in Vilnius.
He also noted that the EU is now ‘the main hostage of Washington’s anti-Russian aspirations, which will clearly accelerate its socio-economic degradation and increase security risks to the highest level since 1957 (the birth year of the European Common Market)’.
Klimov also drew attention to the fact that NATO is now positioning itself not only as the ‘North Atlantic Alliance’, but also declares military ambitions in the Asia-Pacific region, directed against China, as well as that NATO is a ‘nuclear alliance’.
“This has caused a sharply negative reaction from Beijing,” the politician wrote.
