Kim Jong Un: N. Korea will not start a war first, but it will not avoid it either
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said that the authorities are not going to start a war first, but they will not avoid it either, TASS reports
Kim Jong Un noted that the DPRK will not start a war, but it is not going to avoid it either. The country has no reason to start an armed conflict, but ‘will not avoid a war’ if a situation emerges.
According to Kim Jong Un, the war will lead ‘to a severe collapse and the end of the Republic of Korea, while unimaginable destruction and defeat will be inflicted on the United States’. He added that the DPRK Armed Forces are ready for this. According to Kim Jong Un, units of the Korean People's Army will ‘punish the enemies’ by mobilising all means, including nuclear ones, if a war breaks out on the peninsula.
