Karpenko: CEC and authorities ready to hold single voting day as scheduled

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus and state authorities are ready to hold a single voting day within the established time frame – as CEC Chairman Igor Karpenko told journalists after his report to the President

Speaking about the meeting, he stressed, “There were no problematic issues that would need to be settled at the level of the Head of State. There were issues that needed to be agreed upon at the level of the President, related to his competence. In general, I can say that the Central Election Commission and the state authorities involved in organising the election campaign are fully prepared to hold a single voting day on February 25th, 2024, as scheduled.”
