Karayev: Belarusians want to help refugees

Another cargo of humanitarian aid for refugees trapped on the Belarusian-Polish border has arrived today at the logistics centre near the Bruzgi checkpoint. Here, refugees were accommodated after an act of aggression from the neighbouring country. At the centre, people were given milk, juices, yoghurts, bread, cookies, as well as oatmeal and pasta for hot meals. The President's Aide – Inspector for the Grodno Region, Yuri Karayev, was among the caring Belarusians and he supervised the unloading of delivered products.

“Food supply for these distressed people is now organised. They've finally had enough sleep – more or less, of course – but as much as it was possible. They spent the night not in the open air but in the warmth, with blankets, pillows and mattresses. In the morning, tea and boiled eggs were offered to everyone. By 2pm, hot meals will be organised. The process has been established for management of trade, organisations that are not indifferent, and citizens. People, by the way, really want to help and our task now is to ensure a channel,” Mr. Karayev said.

After talking with refugees, the President's Aide came to the conclusion: candy is urgently needed for children. A command was given and refugee kids will soon receive sweet gifts.
