Iraqi PM said US-led coalition must leave the country

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani announced Iraq’s interest in the withdrawal of the international coalition led by the United States from the country, TASS reports with reference to Reuters

Mohammed al-Sudani said ‘there’s a need to reorganise this relationship so that it is not a target or justification for any party, internal or foreign, to tamper with stability in Iraq and the region’. He stressed that issue ‘should be negotiated under "a process of understanding and dialogue’.

The PM noted that only ‘an end of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will help reduce the risk of regional escalation’, adding that Iraq is ready to build bilateral security relations with coalition members, including the United States. These ties may include training of the Iraqi armed forces, consultations and weapons purchases.
