It is reported that, on the morning of September 22nd, border guards in the Braslav District found a beaten foreigner near the border. The man introduced himself as a 34-year-old Indian citizen. Because of injuries, he was unable to move on his own.

The victim was taken to a healthcare facility, where he received medical assistance after undergoing surgery. The man told the investigator that he had been brutally beaten by Latvian servicemen at night. They also took his $6,000, tore up his documents and forced him to cross the border with Belarus.

An investigator examined the scene and ordered a forensic examination. The Braslav District Department of the Investigative Committee is currently conducting an inspection on this fact.
