Industry Ministry to continue introducing innovations in goods manufactured by Belarus’ enterprises
The Industry Ministry will continue to introduce innovations in goods manufactured by Belarusian enterprises – as noted by Deputy Industry Minister Aleksandr Yefimov, commenting on the results of the recent meeting with the President focusing on the state and goals of the country’s industrial development
“The industry has done a lot in recent years, but today it is not enough. We need to work even more intensively and achieve more confident results. This is especially important so that our equipment can be exported to foreign markets. We can conquer markets both with prices acceptable to buyers and with high quality of our produce – as was noted during the meeting with the President. Therefore, the Industry Ministry will continue its work to introduce innovations into the goods manufactured by our enterprises.”
According to Aleksandr Yefimov, last year, the Industry Ministry achieved good results in investment activities, with around Br1.2bn injected in the modernisation and creation of new production facilities.
“This is almost twice as much as the 2022 level. Our large investment programme in the creation of new production facilities will continue and will demonstrate the same strong pace of development. In the next five years, we will create over 900 modern units of world-class equipment throughout the entire system of the Industry Ministry – affordable to our consumers. Most importantly, it will be affordable in its cost of ownership, which includes service maintenance, after-sales service, and availability of spare parts. “In general, we plan to increase competitiveness in all markets where we work,” the official added.
