Indonesia said President of Belarus is very strong leader who respects his people
In his talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel, Dr. Fadli Zon, the Chairman of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Co-operation of the Indonesian People’s Representatives Council, said that Aleksandr Lukashenko is a strong leader who greatly respects the Belarusian people
Dr. Fadli Zon reminded that our President has been contributing to the development of Belarus for many years.
“I think we need the same leader with his confident position. This does not mean that he is a dictator; strong means decisive in his policy for the benefit of his people. Our presidents share much in common – it’s true,” he added.
The Indonesian politician expressed confidence that in the case of Belarus, we can count on mutually beneficial cooperation.
“Some countries – I don’t want to name specifically – are playing football. Every time you start to understand the essence of the game, they change the goal posts and the rules. Therefore, it is very difficult for us to come to mutually beneficial co-operation due to such constant changes in the rules. I think your and our presidents have an understanding of the clear parameters of our co-operation. No one will say that some are better than others. We are equal. We’ll sit down and talk face to face. You know, we had an experience when we were in unequal positions: someone was sitting on a big chair, and someone was sitting on a small chair, something like that,” he said.
“Peace is our biggest dividend, and we need reliable friends. Belarus is a reliable country with very clear advantages, which we are aware of. We, like you, are looking for non-standard markets for ourselves. We must dig deeper and discuss further ways of co-operation,” Dr. Fadli Zon added.
