In solidarity with their colleagues from RG Kar, junior doctors, interns and postgraduate trainees have announced the suspension of scheduled services in hospitals across the country from August 12th. According to them, this decision is necessary so that the voices of doctors are heard, and that the demands for justice and security are met without delay.

At the same time, doctors have put forward demands: ensuring guarantees for the safety of protesters, granting the right to hold peaceful demonstrations, prompt administration of justice, payment of compensation, and creation of a protocol for the safety of health workers in all hospitals.
