In January 2023, MAZ doubled its bus sales to Russia
The demand for buses of Minsk Automobile Plant, managing company of the holding company BelavtoMAZ, in Russia in January 2023 increased 2.1 times compared to January 2022. According to the Autostat Agency, having sold 104 vehicles, the Belarusian manufacturer was placed fourth in the rating of leaders of the Russian market of new buses.

As of late January 2023, the bus market was led by Russian PAZ (54 percent of the market): 712 vehicles were purchased (+32 percent). It was followed by Chinese Yutong (145 vehicles), which showed a 6.9-fold increase. The third position was occupied by Russian LiAZ (108 vehicles), which volumes doubled.
In total, the market volume of new buses in Russia amounted to 1,309 thousand vehicles by the end of January 2023; its growth made 34 percent (compared to January 2022).
As for the range, the top three most popular models in January were represented by those produced at Pavlovsky Automobile Plant: GROOVE 3205 (282 vehicles), GROOVE 3204 (199) and GROOVE 4234 (193). LiAZ 4292 and MAZ 206 (84 vehicles each) closed the top five.
