In 2023, Belarus saw EAEU’s biggest growth in industrial production
The largest increase in industrial production in 2023 among the Eurasian Economic Union member states was recorded in Belarus, according to the information posted on the website of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC)
“Industrial production growth of 7.7 percent was observed in Belarus, that in Kazakhstan rose by 4.3 percent, in Armenia it increased by 4.1 percent, while Russia saw a 3.5 percent increase in its industrial production, and Kyrgyzstan a 2.7 percent growth,” noted the EEC.
In general, EAEU’s industrial production last year stood at 103.7 percent against the 2022 level.
“Production in the processing industry increased by 7.4 percent, that in electricity supply, gas, steam and air conditioning rose by 0.3 percent, decreasing by 0.6 percent in the mining industry and quarrying and dropping by 2.2 percent in water supply, sewerage system, control over the collection and distribution of waste,” the EEC informed.
