Harris said over 100m Americans suffering because of debts for medical services

US Vice President Kamala Harris said that more than 100 million Americans are suffering because of debts for medical services and the economic restrictions they have led to, RIA Novosti reports

Kamala Harris stated that ‘no one should be denied access to economic opportunities just because they needed urgent medical care’. However, she noted that today more than 100 million Americans are suffering from medical debts. Harris explained that this ‘makes it harder for people to approve a loan for a car, a house, a small business, and also makes life difficult’.

According to the US Vice President, the current administration has already forgiven debtors over $650m, up to $7bn is planned to be written off by 2026.
