Great Patriotic War veterans honoured at Belarus’ Embassy in Russia
The Belarusian Embassy in Russia has hosted an event dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People, sb.by reports with reference to the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Russia
Belarus’ Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi has presented jubilee medals – 80 Years of Belarus’ Liberation from Nazi Invaders – to the Great Patriotic War veterans and representatives of veteran organisations.
A Tear that Fell on Ashes – a temporary exhibition of the Khatyn State Memorial Complex – has opened in the business and cultural complex by the memorable date. The traveling exposition includes lithographs by contemporary Belarusian artists dedicated to the tragedy of people who experienced the full horror of the Nazi occupation.
The participants of the solemn event were also shown His Name Was Not Listed performance – based on Boris Vasiliev’s work.
