Golovchenko to take part in Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and CIS Council of Heads of Government meetings in Sochi
The governmental delegation led by Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko went to Sochi to participate in the meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and CIS Council of Heads of Government
Russia's Sochi will become a place of attraction for the brightest economic news on June 7th-9th: it will host the meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and CIS Council of Heads of Government. Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to meet with the heads of the participating delegations.
The gvernment leaders are also scheduled to participate in the plenary session of the 3rd Eurasian Congress and the Eurasia is Our Home exhibition.
According to the press service of the Belarusian Government, on the first day of the visit, Roman Golovchenko will meet with the Governor of the Krasnodar Krai, Veniamin Kondratiev, and also Russian PM Mikhail Mishustin. The heads of government will later discuss the EAEU current agenda in a narrow format.
In addition, the opening of the 2nd Youth Forum of the EAEU and CIS will take place.
The second day of the visit will begin with the working breakfast with representatives of the youth, and then Mr. Golovchenko will go to the Eurasia is Our Home exhibition. The PM will also take part in a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in narrow and expanded formats.
The rich agenda of June 8th will continue with the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in an expanded format; final documents will be signed following it.
The second day of Mr. Golovchenko’s visit to Sochi will end with a meeting with his Cuban counterpart Manuel Marrero Cruz. Cuba has been an observer state in this integration entity since 2020.
On June 9th, the plenary session of the 3rd Eurasian Congress – Eurasia of the Future: From Challenges to Solutions – will be held. Following it, Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to meet with the heads of delegations participating in the meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and CIS Council of Heads of Government.
