German observer: I don’t see any problems in Belarus’ election process
Before criticising the elections in Belarus, the German government needs to restore order in its own country, an independent observer from Germany, Gunnar Lindemann, told the sb.by portal
The expert said that this is not his first visit to Belarus, “I’m very glad that I was invited to observe your elections. It is important to see that everything is organised in a democratic way. At the moment I do not see any problems in the election process. Everything is held properly and democratically.”
A resident of Germany has visited several polling stations today, “I hope that there will be no problems and everything will go at the proper level, definitely not the same as in Germany. As you know, in 2021, elections took place in Berlin, declared invalid by the Federal Constitutional Court because they were conducted undemocratically. That’s why I always say that the German government needs to stop criticising other countries. Get your own things in order first, and then criticise others.”
