General Staff Chief: nuclear weapons are among the key factors of strategic deterrence of plans against Belarus
Nuclear weapons are one of the main factors of strategic deterrence of plans against Belarus – as stated by First Deputy Defence Minister Viktor Gulevich, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, before a meeting with deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly that focused on the draft updated Military Doctrine
“Following an instruction of the Head of State, we will inform the MPs on the main changes to the wording of the Military Doctrine. The latter will be approved at the Belarusian People’s Congress. Most importantly, the doctrine preserves a peaceful policy. We do not treat any nation as our enemies. Meanwhile, the leaders who maintain negative rhetoric towards Belarus should study the country’s Military Doctrine after its publication,” Mr. Gulevich said.
