"Belarus’ Armed Forces are paying great attention to maintaining a high level of combat and mobilisation readiness in the current aggravated conditions of the military-political situation. This is especially true at present, when large-scale exercises of multinational NATO forces are being conducted throughout Europe and near our borders: the Dragoon drills with participation of special operations forces on the territory of Poland, and the combined Steadfast Defender exercises that are among the largest ones in terms of the scale of forces and means involved (up to 90 thousand people),” Mr. Gulevich stressed.
Taking into account the developing situation, a comprehensive check of combat and mobilisation readiness kicked off at Belarus’ Armed Forces on March 11th.
"As part of the combat orders issued, the designated military units and subunits are moving to the specified areas for exercises, trainings and classes. Such comprehensive checks will intensify in the future, and the number of forces and means involved will increase," the Major General informed.
