Geely’s sales up 8% worldwide in 2022
According to China’s automaker Geely Automobile Holdings Limited, last year, its car sales in the world increased by 7.9 percent to achieve 1.432m vehicles
Moreover, annual sales of new energy vehicles (NEV) hit 328,000 units. Last year, Geely exported over 198,000 vehicles – 72 percent up compared to 2021. At the same time, sales of the international company’s products slowed down to 146,000 cars in December 2022 (8 percent down against December 2021).
This year, the Chinese company Geely set an annual sales target of 1.65 million vehicles, improving the result of 2022 by 15 percent. According to forecasts, the sales of cars using new energy sources are to more than double.
In Belarus in 2022, as already reported, the sales of new cars decreased significantly to 17,234 vehicles: 14,843 passenger cars were sold, including 4,355 of Geely (locally produced). At the same time, the sales of Lada cars stood at 3,782 pieces and those of Kia reached 1,462.
Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. is now a part of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., manufacturing such brands as Volvo Cars, Lynk & Co., Lotus Cars, Polestar, London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) and others.
