Gaza post-war housing reconstruction to cost at least $15bn
At least $15bn is needed to restore houses destroyed by bombing in the Gaza Strip – as stated by Palestinian Investment Fund Chairperson Mohammad Mustafa at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, TASS reports
According to him, about 350,000 housing units have been completely or partially damaged in the Gaza Strip since the start of Israeli bombing on October 7th, 2023.
“We are not yet talking about infrastructure, we are not yet talking about hospitals that were damaged, about communications,” Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera cites Mohammad Mustafa.
Some 25,000 people have been killed and nearly all of Gazan’s 2.3 million residents have fled their homes since Israel began combat operation in the Palestinian territory.
