Gaidukevich to run for President

Oleg Gaidukevich, the Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus and the LDPB (Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus) Chairman, declared his intention to run for the office of the President on air with News.By, BelTA reports
“Our party has not missed a single electoral campaign since 1994. We have always used elections as a chance to strengthen our constitutional order, so the voting goes on in a calm, orderly fashion with no outside interference, and gives people a nice occasion to celebrate. Elections are a place to raise issues that trouble our citizens. That’s why I now announce my decision to take part in this campaign. I’m going to run for President from the LDPB. We are going to assemble an initiative group and collect signatures,” he said.

“And I’d like to be honest here: they hate our President. Our enemies, all these Western centres hate him because he kept the country whole. He preserved its sovereignty, strengthened it, and didn’t sell it out. So our aim for this election is to strengthen our country,” added the LDPB Chairman.
