First train en route from Beijing to Moscow as part of China-Europe railway freight transportation

The first direct freight train departed from the logistics hub in Beijing's Pinggu District to Moscow as part of the China–Europe international rail freight transportation on March 16th, Xinhua reports

The 55-container train will cross the state border at the Manzhouli checkpoint in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and is expected to arrive in Moscow in about 18 days. The train will cover about 9,000km.
