First Deputy Head of Belarus’ President Administration made entry on behalf of Lukashenko in Iranian Embassy’s book of condolences
Belarusians and Iranians have a very long relationship of mutual assistance, they are able to resolve all issues peacefully and support each other in all areas of their bilateral relations – as stated by Maksim Ryzhenkov, the First Deputy Head of Belarus’ President Administration, as he made an entry on behalf of Aleksandr Lukashenko in the book of condolences of the Iranian Embassy
The message of condolences on behalf of the Belarusian leader reads, “On behalf of the people of the Republic of Belarus and myself, I express our sincere condolences over the tragic death in a plane crash of my friend, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, as well as Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and others accompanying him. The outstanding political figures – who had done a lot to strengthen the authority of their state and the well-being of its citizens – died prematurely in the prime of their political careers."
According to the President, just over a year ago, the Belarusian delegation had the opportunity to feel a warm, friendly welcome on hospitable Iranian land, and an agreement was reached with Iranian colleagues on the implementation of a large number of projects and initiatives.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted, “He will always remain in my memory as a very professional and wise politician who did a lot to strengthen Belarusian-Iranian relations. I convey words of support and wishes of fortitude in connection with this grave loss to the families, friends and colleagues of the victims, and I deeply grieve together with all Iranian people."
Maksim Ryzhenkov told reporters that he had arrived at the Embassy on behalf of the Head of State and at the behest of his heart, “This is because Iran is our friend. Belarusians and Iranians have a very long relationship of mutual assistance, the ability to resolve all issues peacefully, and support each other in all areas of their bilateral relations. Today’s condolences are not just a manifestation of respect for the leader of Iran, who was indeed connected with all stages of the development of the modern Iranian state almost from the very first steps of his political and public career. He was a man who did a lot for the development of our bilateral liaisons, he had very friendly relations with our President. The presidents met officially three times, and you remember how serious and large-scale the visit was last year. It laid many foundations for the development of our relations in all areas – including humanitarian and industrial. So it is not only a tribute to this man of truly the highest, global scale. It is also an expression of respect and support for the Iranian people.”
The First Deputy Head of the President Administration added, “The President of Iran was elected by a stunning majority of his citizens, and it was mainly the support of those who linked the development of Iran with the name of Raisi, and who believed in him. He was a charismatic person. People pinned their hopes on development, strengthening the authority of the state in the international arena, ensuring peace and security in the Middle East and in the global context as a whole.”
