Finns said their national economy deteriorated
About 73 percent of consumers in Finland believe that the economic situation in the country has deteriorated in 2023 compared to 2022, RIA Novosti reports
According to the source, about 73 percent of consumers believe that the economic situation in Finland is worse now than a year earlier, and only 6 percent of respondents say it is improving.
In addition, 43 percent of those questioned express the opinion that the Finnish economy will continue to deteriorate. Only 10 percent expect the unemployment rate to decrease in 2024, and 61 percent consider it will become higher.
As noted by the survey participants, consumer prices increased by 6.6 percent in December 2023 against the same period last year, and a further 4.1 percent growth is likely in 2024.
