According to the Forta Fermierilor (Farmers' Power) Association, farmers are protesting against the actions of the country's authorities, whose support ‘does not solve even a quarter of the serious problems faced by the agricultural sector of Moldova’. The association has also accused the government of uncoordinated actions with farmers.

The police conducted checks on farmers who came out to the anti-government protest.

"The police tell the farmers that their transport documents are invalid. Under this pretext, people are stopped, their names are put on some lists. This is our European integration and freedom of expression in the style of Maia Sandu," Vasile Costiuc, the leader of the Moldovan right-wing Democracy at Home opposition party, said.
