Fairly high demand for Belarusian visa-free regime registered
In 2023, 36,282 Polish citizens entered Belarus without visas via the Brest border group section, and that was almost 2 times more than in 2022 (17,413 people came then)
The Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Yuri Shuleiko, informed, “We see a fairly high demand for the Belarusian visa-free regime. The number of Polish citizens entering Belarus has doubled. The pandemic is over, and it has become objectively easier to cross the border.”
Mr. Shuleiko added that the most popular destinations among tourists are medical and wellness, ecological, historical and cultural tourism, as well as agro-ecotourism.
Speaking about the situation at the border, the official noted that all necessary measures are being taken for heavy truck drivers to have normal conditions while they are waiting in a queue, “There is a control system in the queue of trucks, and there is order. Traffic police crews and customs officers work well. There are no problems with logistics, and there are no queues for loading and unloading. In general, all issues are handled in a working order.”
