Exports of Belarusian food and agricultural raw materials up by 16%
In January-November 2021, the exports of Belarusian food products and agricultural raw materials increased by 16 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, $6.034bn of goods were delivered abroad while the increase in foreign exchange earnings totalled $832m – a record compared to the annual figures of previous years.
In January-November, Belarusian food was delivered to 106 countries of the world. The increase in supplies was observed in almost all regions. Exports to the CIS states, including the Russian Federation, increased by 12 percent. Deliveries to the non-CIS countries rose by 41.8 percent compared to the same period of 2020, including: to the countries of Asia and Oceania – by 39.3 percent, the EU – by 43.6 percent, America and the Caribbean – by 58.4 percent. Food exports to the People’s Republic of China were up by 39.5 percent.
Exports of milk and dairy products increased by 10.4 percent; meat and meat products – by 17.4 percent; fish and fish products – by 25.7 percent; eggs – by 38.1 percent; potatoes and products of its processing – by 53.6 percent; vegetables and mushrooms – by 14.8 percent; rapeseed oil – by 81.3 percent; water and alcoholic beverages – by 6.7 percent; chocolate and products containing cocoa – by 36.6 percent.
