Expert: US will face international tribunal as instigator of war in the Middle East
The outbreak of war in the Middle East had its first anniversary on October 7th. Since that date in 2023, the conflict has been escalating. However, as noted by an expert from the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, Aleksei Avdonin, the events preceding that date should also be taken into account. In his talk with the Minsk-Moscow Union State live streaming, he noted that the military conflict had been planned by the United States in detail.
“On September 2nd, 2023, the NATO command in Europe decided to transfer its forces from Europe to the Middle East; it happened almost a month before those events," the expert said. “A number of Western experts openly said then that the development of the situation in the Middle East was aimed at demonstrating the US strength with help of Israel. By launching a campaign against Arab countries, the United States tried to show that they still had a monopoly on geopolitics. That was done in order to maintain the status of the Dollar. After all, while all others are afraid of America, the Dollar is respected. This act of intimidation still continues.”
Mr. Avdonin explained that the excessive aggression and brutality of the United States and Israel on the territory of the Middle East – which all the globe is witnessing now – indicate that America is trying to show who is the boss in the world.
“At the same time, we understand perfectly well that these are near-death convulsions,” Mr. Avdonin added. “Americans also understand: they will either win (and winners are not judged) or lose (they will be court-martialled in this case). It will be not the International Court of Justice, which currently operates and is fully overseen by the United States. It will be another court, and it will judge them as initiators of the Ukrainian adventure and the war in the Middle East.”
