Expert: US to try to shift responsibility for helping Ukraine to Europe

If the West realises that Ukraine will not be able to win in the special military operation, then it will try to freeze the conflict – as noted by the Associate Professor of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Gevorg Mirzayan, in his talk with Channel One

The expert noted that the United States is interested in prolonging the conflict between Kiev and Moscow, but Ukraine's mobilisation resource is not infinite.

“Look at what is happening with the economy of Ukraine. The country’s economic resource has long been exhausted. Ukraine will not survive a long conflict with its current resources. In the United States, the situation will change, and the country will try to shift the issue of assistance to Kiev to Europe, but the latter will not have so many weapons and money," Mr. Mirzayan said, adding that European countries are still able to help Ukraine somehow.

The expert stressed, “They provide assistance as long as they are forced by Americans. However, the time will come when the European arsenal will be exhausted, when Europeans will ask why they should give money to Ukraine if the well-being of Europe is deteriorating. If the West realises that Ukraine will lose, it will try to freeze the conflict. Such conversations are already underway.”

At the same time, Mr. Mirzayan noted that Moscow would not agree to freezing the conflict. “We have a number of tasks set as part of the special operation, and we must complete them,” he said.
