Expert: US ‘project’ on Ukraine turned out to be complete failure

In his talk with Alfa Radio, Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst at the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research, answered the questions whether the United States had achieved the desired result in Ukraine and in what aspects this US ‘project’ failed

The expert explained what the United States planned to achieve with the help of Ukraine, “The ‘project’ on Ukraine wasn’t successful for the US, which failed to achieve its goals: the seizure of Crimea and the cutting off of the Black Sea coast from Russia. It would also be desirable for the US to cut off the entire Baltic Sea and to capture the Baltic Sea coast. Thus, the Anglo-Saxons’ long-standing plans (since the early 19th century) to cut off the Russian Empire from the two seas could have been realised. After all, seas always mean trade routes. If there aren’t, there is no economy; it is inconvenient to trade, since all trade routes are closed. When there is no economy, the welfare of people is declining, as a result of which it is possible to continue to carry out active information and propaganda campaigns, sabotage acts and provoke internal protests and revolution in Russia. That’s what the US wanted to achieve: to weaken Russia, cause a civil war and subsequently divide the country. America failed to succeed.”

The analyst also stressed that Russia currently represents a force for the US: ‘an unknown economic, financial, industrial, and technological force’.

“The US authorities realise that they are losing and can lose everything they have achieved over the past three decades. They also understand that NATO can collapse on its own. There may be a complete change in the entire international security system, with some other organisation replacing the UN. The international court system has also discredited itself which may result in a completely new world order. That’s what scares them. Of course, if we assess the results of Biden’s project in Ukraine, then it is a complete failure,” Mr. Avdonin concluded.
