Expert on prospects for co-operation between Belarusian Women’s Union and BRICS
The Belarusian Women’s Union and the BRICS Women's Business Alliance will open a regional office of the women's alliance in Minsk, thus bringing the Belarusian Women’s Union to a planetary level – as noted by Olga Shpilevskaya, the Chairperson of the Belarusian Women’s Union and Director of the Mir TV and Radio Company representative office in Belarus, in her talk with Alfa Radio
“By establishing ties with foreign partners, Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko is paving the way for the women's association. For example, we have signed a co-operation agreement with the Mongolian Women's Federation after the visit of our President to this country. Thus, relations between the states are becoming stronger in all spheres,” Ms. Shpilevskaya said.
The expert stressed that there are many prospects for co-operation between the Women's Union and BRICS, and they mostly refer to the economy, “We see how strong the interstate union market is. This interaction will open up new opportunities for our businesswomen: new platforms related to small, medium and large businesses will be launched.”
Ms. Shpilevskaya added that the Belarusian side had been invited to the BRICS business forum scheduled to be held on October 18th. “I will be very happy to represent the Belarusian Women’s Union at a big conference there, to establish and strengthen contacts,” she said.
