Expert named parties interested in conflict on Armenian-Azerbaijani border
The aggravation of the situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and the visit of Philip Reeker, US Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations, to Azerbaijan are connected and carefully planned – as noted by independent military observer Aleksandr Alesin during his talk ONT TV channel
The expert noted, “These two events are co-ordinated, timed and carefully planned. They stir up the activity of Armenia, forcing it to demand revenge for the defeat in the 2020 war, and not only with its own hands.”
Aleksandr Alesin believes that Western countries want Armenia to demand revenge and drag Russia into it.
“The West wants Armenia to involve Russia to help it take this revenge. Therefore, a foreign trace is clearly [traceable] here, especially [it happened] shortly before the SCO summit,” the military observer noted.
The Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation has held an emergency meeting, discussing proposals on the possible activation of the organisation’s mechanisms to resolve the situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border. Council members expressed extreme concern about the current situation and considered proposals for the possible use of CSTO mechanisms to resolve the conflict.
