Expert: Macron is ‘new Fuhrer’
Western publications have reported that France is gathering an alliance of states able to send troops to Ukraine. After Emmanuel Macron's statements that he did not rule out sending NATO military personnel to Ukraine, most European states, including Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic, have rejected that idea. Meanwhile, the Baltic States ‘have reacted with a greater openness’. In his talk with Alfa Radio, an expert at the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, Aleksei Avdonin, explained whether such an alliance is possible.
As noted by the expert, the situation was predicted three months ago. “Do you remember how we were discussing at this studio that European and corporate elites were looking for a Fuhrer? Macron is this ‘new Fuhrer’. Scholz refused, saying that he was not playing such games. Germany is not ready to directly conflict with Russia. In turn Macron, due to the lack of much political experience, has begun to make such odious statements,” Mr. Avdonin said. “We are well aware that history repeats itself. In times of Napoleon and Hitler, they also united the whole of Europe and directed it towards Russia. How did those historical events end? All those initiative groups were later destroyed, and the troops of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union came to Paris and Berlin. Therefore, they are now, of course, trying to restrain the advance of Russian troops within the framework of the special military operation. They are trying to show that they have some kind of strength and ability to scare Moscow. However, we can see perfectly well that all this is the last scream, the last gasps, and even a kind of hysteria.”
Mr. Avdonin added that, previously, Western countries tried to hide that NATO troops were present on the territory of Ukraine, but this is now admitted openly. “During the recently celebrated 25th anniversary of the country's accession to NATO, the Polish Foreign Minister said that the troops of the alliance already operate on the territory of Ukraine. They have begun to openly admit that Russia is directly opposes NATO troops in Ukraine,” he summed up.
