The retired colonel stressed that, in 2023, the NATO strategic documents identified the countries that pose a threat to the alliance.
“It was the Russian Federation and China as a strategic opponent. I would like to draw attention to the fact that Russia’s special military operation is currently underway, and we all understand perfectly well that it is fighting not against Ukraine, but almost the entire NATO bloc, the West. The goals and objectives that the United States has set for itself in helping Ukraine are to weaken Russia and inflict a strategic defeat on it. However, there will be no collapse of the Russian Federation into separate principalities, where heads from the outside will be appointed to be led as it is being done in Ukraine or the Baltic States. At the same time, the United States is beginning to rebuild, it takes into account its problems inside the country and the fact that it needs to resolve issues with China. After all, it's no secret that China is now the first economy in the world in the field of industry. Therefore, the American authorities are again twisting the arms of their vassals, the NATO countries. They want to shift the entire burden of conducting the military operation in Ukraine to them, as well as to Ukrainians. By doing this, the United States plans to direct all its forces to the fight against China. That's why the Chinese issue was raised at the summit," Mr. Chibisov explained.
