Expert: BRICS becoming key force in establishing multipolar world
In an article for the China Daily newspaper, Efe Can Gürcan, a researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, said that BRICS is becoming the main driving force that contributes to the formation of a multipolar world, TASS reports
According to Efe Can Gürcan, BRICS can be considered as a key driving force in an environment where the Global South is striving to build a ‘new type of international relations’. He noted that the union represents a platform for constructive dialogue and co-operation in the fight against global challenges.
The expert is also confident that liaisons in the field of economics and finance is key within the BRICS framework, as well as the creation of a new type of international relations. In turn, in the field of security, BRICS proposes to resolve differences ‘through dialogue, not confrontation, on the basis of partnership, not alliance, within the framework of mutually beneficial solutions and not of a zero-sum game’. According to the expert, the association calls for respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, contributing to the establishment of a more stable and peaceful world order.
