Expert: Biden can go down in US history as major unsuccessful president
The US leader, Joe Biden, has made a lot of strategic mistakes over the years of his presidency – as noted by Konstantin Blokhin, a leading researcher at the Centre for Security Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Historical Sciences, political expert and Americanist, in his talk with the Soloviev Live TV channel
According to the expert, Americans are tired not only of Joe Biden, but also of Democrats in general. “Look at the history of the United States: it is always accompanied by the swings when the Republican Party is replaced by Democrats, and vice versa. Everyone is tired of Democrats today, while Biden can generally go down in the US history as the main unsuccessful president,” he said.
Mr. Blokhin recalled the withdrawal of the American contingent from Afghanistan in August 2021 after almost 20 years in the country, the aggravation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in October 2023, and the beginning of the Ukrainian conflict in February 2022.
“In times of Biden’s presidency, the United States has left Afghanistan, and the country has been losing its ability every month to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. In addition, the US main ally, Israel, has been attacked recently. In general, everyone is already sounding the alarm, saying that China is the main enemy, while the United States is still dealing with Ukraine and others. Therefore, in fact, America has made a lot of strategic mistakes while being led by Biden,” the expert noted.
