Expert: Belarusian People’s Congress proved its efficiency

The Belarusian People’s Congress became the highest representative body of people’s rule in the country. The Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Vyacheslav Danilovich, pondered to what extent can we talk about its proximity to the modern Belarusian state, considering this form of government from a historical point of view.

“Despite the fact that our Belarusian national state is relatively young by historical standards, its roots go back thousands of years. We’re using this enormous experience of our ancestors in building a stable state system at the present stage. This is especially evident on the example of the Belarusian People’s Congress, which has already proved its efficiency in the modern history of the Republic of Belarus. From 1996 to 2021, six Belarusian People’s Congresses were held, making a very important contribution to ensuring peace and stability in our country and to the progressive development of Belarusian society,” noted the expert.
