European Space Agency reports about huge asteroid approaching Earth

European scientists have recorded a fairly large asteroid 2015 RN35 flying towards the Earth – as reported on the Twitter page of the European Space Agency

The message reads, “Asteroid 2015 RN35 is large enough and will fly very close to be observed by amateur astronomers.”

The Daily Express publication reported that the celestial body reaches 140 metres in diameter and will approach the Earth at a distance of 680,000km, so it does not pose a danger to humanity in the near future. The British media even came up with a name for 2015 RN35: journalists have already dubbed it ‘Christmas’ asteroid.
