EU to pay 50m Euros for vaccines for Ukraine

The European Union plans to purchase coronavirus vaccines for their further delivery to Ukraine, Lenta.ru reports

As specified in the tender documentation, the purpose of the contract is ‘the purchase of vaccines against acute respiratory infection COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2’, and the EU intends to allocate 50m Euros from the budget of the European Investment Bank.

The contract is being implemented as part of co-operation between Beijing-based Sinovac Life Sciences Co. Ltd and the Ukrainian pharmaceutical company Lekhim.
