EU suspended Georgia's integration process

The leadership of the European Union has decided to suspend the process of Georgia's accession – as announced by the EU Ambassador to Georgia, Pavel Korchinsky, TASS reports

Speaking at an international conference in Tbilisi, Mr. Nerchinsky noted, "I am sorry to say that [EU leaders] have agreed to suspend the process of Georgia's membership in the European Union. This is clearly stated in the reports of the European Council."

The diplomat added that, at the moment, it is unclear whether Georgia will get into the next wave of enlargement of the European Union.
