EU flags proposed to be removed from administrative buildings in Italy
Italian Senator Claudio Borghi said he had introduced a bill to overturn the law that obliges the European Union flag to be hung outside and inside the country's administrative buildings, RIA Novosti reports
Claudio Borghi said that a bill had been submitted to the government to overturn the law obliging the EU flag to fly outside and inside Italy’s public offices. He explained that Italy has only one flag, the tricolour, next to which the flag of the region can be hung.
Since 1998, Italy has had a law that obliges the European Union flag to be hung over the country's administrative buildings.
