Ethiopia adopted strategy for co-operation with BRICS

The Ethiopian government has adopted a strategy for co-operation with BRICS after several months of discussion, TASS reports

According to the Fana radio station, the BRICS National Ministerial Steering Committee approved the decision at its meeting in Addis Ababa. As explained by the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry, the strategy provides the country with guidance on joining the ‘BRICS family’. It was prepared on the basis of reports from the technical committee of senior managers and the BRICS secretariat.

Mamo Mihretu, Ethiopia's BRICS Sherpa, emphasised that the organisation acts as a platform for protecting the interests of his country.
