Energy Ministry: current generation, alongside our children and grandchildren, will benefit from BelNPP
The Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP) is an important element of sustainable economic development – as stated by Deputy Energy Minister Denis Moroz, sb.by reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the Belarusian Energy Ministry
“The commissioning of our own nuclear power plant is a fundamental event for the energy complex and for the country as a whole, the effect of which will be received not only by the current generation, but also by our children and grandchildren,” Denis Moroz noted, underlining that the nuclear power plant has opened up additional opportunities for the development of many sectors of the economy, becoming a good incentive for the implementation of innovative projects and the introduction of modern technologies.
According to the official, during the construction of the station, Belarusian specialists have accumulated a wealth of experience and competence. Moreover, Belarusian own school in the nuclear industry has been created.
“Now almost all the personnel working at the BelNPP are Belarusians. The level of our school, engineering training, effective and close interaction with our partner – Rosatom State Corporation – enable us to currently operate this important strategic facility almost completely independently,” Mr. Moroz stressed.
The Deputy Energy Minister also noted that the tasks of integrating the BelNPP into the country’s energy system were successfully implemented. He called the construction of peak-standby sources an important stage of this work.
