Elon Musk topped Chinese Hurun Global Rich List again
Head of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk once again topped the ranking of the richest people in the world according to the Chinese equivalent of Forbes, the Hurun business magazine, TASS reports
It is noted that Elon Musk's fortune increased by 47 per cent over 2023 and reached $235bn in 2024. Coming in second place is Amazon owner and CEO Jeff Bezos with a fortune of $187bn. In third place is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton Bernard Arnault with an estimated net worth of around $177bn.
According to the publication, there are currently 3,279 dollar billionaires in the world, 167 more than in 2023, as their total wealth grew by 9 per cent to $15 trillion. The majority of billionaires reside in China – 814. The United States ranks second with 800 billionaires, according to the publication, and India ranks third with 271.
