Electric transport development gaining momentum in Belarus
Development of electric transport is among the topical issues for Belarusian scientists, and it was discussed during a report of the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences, Vladimir Gusakov, to the President
By now, passenger and cargo cars have been developed in Belarus, in addition to even an electric sports car.
“Of course, the goal and the task are to ensure that these are not only efficient, but also affordable cars. They are also reliable, especially with regard to an electric accumulator: it should provide a normal mileage (at least 500km). We should have our own element base. We need either to create our own Belarusian electric car within the framework of the Union State. We are ready for this,” Mr. Gusakov explained.
The NAS Chairman added that Belarusian science is ready to provide all the necessary scientific support for the tasks set, and the corresponding developments are already available. “We now need to attract and integrate other manufacturers here,” he said.
