EEC: EAEU external debt dropped by 18% at the expense of Belarus and Russia
As of October 1st, 2023, the external debt in the Eurasian Economic Union decreased by $119.7bn, or by 18 percent, the Eurasian Economic Commission reports
It is noted that, compared with the same date in 2022, the gross external debt decreased in Belarus (by 11.7 percent) and Russia (26.8 percent).
It is also reported that the external debt in Armenia increased by 9.5 percent, Kazakhstan – by 0.8 percent, and Kyrgyzstan – by 8.2 percent.
