EDB will allocate about $1.5bn in Belarus by 2026

The Eurasian Development will allocate up to $1.5bn to implement projects in Belarus by 2026 – as informed by Denis Ilyin, the EDB Senior Managing Director

“The strategy until 202 is the key document for us, and its target figures are a guideline. By 2026, the volume of investments in Belarus will amount to $1.5bn,” Mr. Ilyin said.

In turn, Nikolai Podguzov, the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank, clarified that a number of projects in Belarus have been funded in 2023. “In general, the interaction is developing successfully. We have formed a list of projects, which financing may reach $500m. We have completed three projects this year, and the work is mainly in the private sector. They will help solve issues in logistics and production of medical packaging. We have no doubt that we will meet the strategy targets. The areas of investment are traditional: transport, energy, medicine, and the financial sector,” he said.
