EDB expects Belarusian GDP growth to reach 3.9% in 2023

The Eurasian Development Bank expects the Belarusian GDP growth will make 3.9 percent based on the results of 2023

As stated in the EDB weekly macro review, “More than half of GDP growth is provided by industry, the volume of production in which increased by 7.9 percent year-on-year in January-November 2023, after 8 percent year-on-year in January-October.”

The bank analysts noted that GDP growth is supported by the expansion of domestic demand, “Investments increased by 13.9 percent year-on-year in January-November 2023, retail trade rose by 8.2 percent year-on-year. Based on the results of the year, GDP growth is expected at the level of 3.9 percent.”
