Economy Minister: JVs need to be created in Belarus and China
As noted by Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov on the side-lines of the Chinese International Import Exhibition in Shanghai, Belarus has raw materials that are of interest for Chinese consumers, so it is necessary to more actively approach the final buyers, Belarus’ Economy Ministry reports
“To ensure this, we need co-operation. It is necessary to create production facilities in China for processing Belarusian raw materials – cellulose, fertilisers, milk powder, meat products, woodworking products, and others – into high-value-added goods, which will further be offered to local consumers,” Mr. Chervyakov said.
It was decided to launch a project of the kind: an ice cream producing facility will be established in China’s Liaoning together with the Belarusian Slutsk-based enterprise. As noted by the Economy Ministry, this is just one of the agreements.
