EAEU stock markets continued growing in 2021
The 2021 results indicate that stock markets of the Eurasian Economic Union continued to grow last year – as informed by the official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Iya Malkina, during an online briefing
“The total trading volume reached $14.4 trillion – to increase by 8 percent against 2020,” Ms. Malkina said, adding that trading volumes at the major commodity exchanges reached $27.5bn (a 50 percent rise). Petroleum products topped the trades.
“Let me remind you that the Strategy-2025 envisages formation of a common commodity exchange market of the Eurasian Economic Union. A programme of the commodity exchange trading development is planned to be approved by December 31st, 2024,” Ms. Malkina told the briefing participants.
